This project's mission is to give Alaskan Natives the resources to combat child abuse and also to provide the appropriate information on who or where to turn to if it happens to you or someone you know.

Domestic violence sets up a dynamic of power and control in a relationship. Physical violence usually increases in severity and frequency over time.
The safety plan is a set of tools used by individuals to maximize safety in the home. It is a term used with great frequency with regard to domestic violence, but can be applied to child abuse, sexual abuse, and vulnerable adult abuse. It describes precisely what to do when you see tension building or violence about to occur.
A child is any unmarried person under the age of 18.
Sexual assault is any unwanted or inappropriate sexual contact or behavior. It is an act of power and control that can be accomplished through the use of force, threats or fear of harm, manipulation, trickery or deception, intoxicants, or coercion.
