RADIOLOGY

The Radiology Department at Southcentral Foundation is located at the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center (PCC). The department offers the following services:

• general X-ray
• ultrasound imaging (primarily obstetric)
• mammography (screening)
• bone density scan

The bone density scan (“Dexascan”) is performed with a new, state-of-the-art machine and is the only service of its kind on the Alaska Native Medical Center campus. It provides valuable information to providers regarding the skeletal health of their customers, especially as they grow older.

A health care provider’s referral is required for any test offered at this department. Radiology hours are Monday through Friday, as follows:

• General X-ray: 9:00am - 6:30pm
• Ultrasound and Mammogram: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Dexascan: 9:00am - 5:30pm
