OVERVIEW
Soldier’s Heart aims to:
- Reduce the symptoms of PTS and aid in suicide prevention among combat veterans, first responders, and law enforcement.
- Address problems related to PTS by helping organizations throughout the United Stated replicate the program for their community.
Soldier’s Heart is an educational training program developed by veterans. It was designed to help combat veterans and first responders understand and address the effects of post-traumatic stress and provide information, tools, and methods to help cope with symptoms. The events are 100% peer led, from staff to trained volunteers. We explore post-traumatic stress from an educational and first-person perspective in an environment that promotes camaraderie, support, and trust. The training event is completely free of charge. We ask that people apply for the events as soon as possible, there is no commitment with applying. We understand that life happens, and scheduling can be difficult, your application will be good for all events, but if something changes on your application feel free to submit another application. Our goal is to identify people who are interested in understanding post-traumatic stress in their life, and get people the tools and resources to deal with issues related to post-traumatic stress.
