Family Wellness Warriors
We heal for those to come. Join Southcentral Foundation’s Family Wellness Warriors in centering healing and action to end cycles of child abuse and sexual assault on April 23. Indigenous and community leaders will guide participants through the healing power of song and story, and lead an observance walk across the Alaska Native Health Campus.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
The Alaska WIC program aims to assist low-income and nutritionally at-risk women who are pregnant, women who are currently breastfeeding (up to the infant’s first birthday), non-breastfeeding postpartum women (up to six months after the birth of an infant or after pregnancy ends), infants, and children up to their fifth birthday. Benefits include supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education, counseling at WIC clinics, and screening and referrals for health concerns, welfare, and social services.

Dental
April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. It is important to contact your integrated dental care team if you notice something is out of the ordinary in your mouth, lips, or throat. To schedule an exam in Anchorage, call (907) 729-2000. To schedule an exam in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, call (907) 631-7690. Empaneled customer-owners may call their dental case management support for scheduling.
