Soldier’s Heart Learning Circles

Veterans and First Responders Learning Circle

Our Learning Circles are peer led support groups that are open to all veterans and first responders regardless of status. These circles are a good way to get plugged in with a community of like-minded people with similar experiences. These circles deal with a variety of issues, from day to day struggles to victories in life. The groups also have snacks or meals depending on the time of day. Please feel free to look at the flyers and attend a group that fits best with your schedule.

Southcentral Foundation’s Soldier’s Heart Training offers a multi-day educational program designed for veterans and first responders who have experienced post-traumatic stress (PTS). It aims to reduce the symptoms of PTS, provide community to talk about shared experiences, and re-categorize PTS as a normal response to extreme events. This program is named Soldier’s Heart in honor of a common title used by physicians during the Civil War.

The next training will be held May 15 – May 21, 2020 in Anchorage. Apply for the training today!
