SCF is a non-profit healthcare corporation, and as such, we greatly appreciate your support. Whether you would like to volunteer your time or make a financial contribution, we thank you for your generosity.
If you would like to volunteer at Southcentral Foundation, you can use the form above. We have several programs for which you can volunteer:
The physicians and mid-level practitioners at Family Medicine treat people of all ages. The clinic offers a full spectrum of primary care to residents of Anchorage and the villages of the Anchorage Service Unit. Case managers help coordinate urban and village care. They strive to become partners with the people they serve in order to promote health and wellness in the community by providing care that is based in continuity and relationship. Saturday and evening appointments are available.
The Southcentral Foundation Elders Program provides a wide range of assistance to Alaska Native and American Indian elders who live in the Anchorage area. Its aim is to promote a lifestyle of independence and mobility for its participants, aged 55 and over.
Family Wellness Warriors
The Family Wellness Warriors is a movement that brings together leaders of the Alaska Native Community, the faith community, regional corporations and agencies, health care providers and many other interested people in an effort to restore wellness to the Alaska Native Community. It specifically addresses all forms of violence that occur within the family. These include child abuse and neglect, sexual abuse, vulnerable adult abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and adult sexual assault.
Southcentral Foundation’s Pathway Home offers long-term residential treatment for Alaska Native/American Indian young men, ages 13-18, in Anchorage. The 30-bed facility and its program are designed to address each resident’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs in a manner that is culturally sensitive and supportive.
Dena A Coy
Dena A Coy is a comprehensive, individualized addiction and mental health treatment program for pregnant, parenting and non-pregnant women. It offers a gender- and culturally-sensitive environment that supports family wellness and preservation. Its mission is to help women recover from alcohol and drug addiction while supporting their mental health and overall wellness.
The Southcentral Foundation Health Education Department provides education to patients and staff, and is integrated into the primary health care system. Health Education offers patient education and/or counseling and is dedicated to helping people understand how they can participate in their overall health and wellness.
If there is another program on our website for which you are interested in volunteering, please feel free to apply.
