World Immunization Week
Did you know immunizations save millions of lives every year? Join Southcentral Foundation to observe and celebrate World Immunization Week, April 24-30.
During World Immunization Week, SCF is highlighting how immunizations protect people of all ages — from infants receiving their first dose to adults staying current on boosters.
Immunizations protect not only you, but also those around you. For more information and to know your status, contact your primary care team.
WIC
The Alaska Women, Infants, and Children program offers support to eligible community members who are pregnant; breastfeeding, up to their infant’s first birthday; or in the postpartum period, up to 6 months after birth or the end of a pregnancy. WIC also serves infants and children up to age 5.
Benefits include supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education, and counseling through WIC clinics. The program also provides screening and referrals for health concerns, community resources, and social services to help support the health and well-being of your family.
