COVID-19 Vaccine Information
Updated COVID-19 vaccines are available in primary care. Please contact your primary care team if you have questions or concerns.
You can still get COVID-19 if you have received the vaccine, but receiving the vaccine can lessen your symptoms. Vaccines will not give you COVID-19 or result in a positive test, even if you have side effects after receiving the vaccine. However, you may contract COVID-19 before receiving the vaccine and not know it. For these reasons, safety precautions and measures are still in place to protect the health care workers administering the vaccine and those receiving.
Symptoms such as an achy arm, fatigue, headache, and fever are possible and common after receiving the vaccine and indicates the vaccine is working. Due to how the vaccine must be ordered and thawed the night before administration, it is essential to keep your appointment and arrive on time if you scheduled a COVID-19 vaccine.
