Highlighted Services
Cervical Cancer Awareness Month
January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Cervical cancer starts at the cervix, which is the lower, narrow end of the uterus. Early stages of cervical cancer may not have any symptoms, which is why it is important to get screened regularly.
Connect with your integrated care team if you have questions about symptoms or to schedule a screening.
Elder Program
Southcentral Foundation’s Elder Program provides a comprehensive approach in delivering services to Alaska Native and American Indian Elders, age 55 and older, who reside in the Anchorage area. The services are designed to enhance the quality of life and promote independent living through fostering an environment of quality, dignity, and pride.
McGrath Regional Health Center
The Traditional Healing Clinic offers traditional Alaska Native approaches to health in an outpatient setting. Tribal doctors assist customer-owners of all ages using practices such as traditional physical, traditional counseling, and talking circles. Explore how these practices can be incorporated into your healing journey by speaking with your integrated care team.
Additionally, a variety of cultural classes are offered by Traditional Healing Clinic employees who share knowledge passed down from Alaska Native Elders. Classes provide an opportunity for participants to connect with Indigenous ways of living through practicing traditional skills.
